SARA LEE ROYALTY
Sara Lee Royalty, 97, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at Landmark of Bardstown. She was born July 9, 1921, in Springfield. She retired from Waterfill and Frazier Distillery and Jim Beam Distillery. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1939. She was a member of the Stephen Foster Music Club, Bardstown Garden Club, Bardstown Community Theater, Humphrey Homemakers, Flaget Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where she was an Elder Emeritus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Norris Royalty; and recently her special cat of 17 years, Moonshiny.
She is survived by several cousins, including her caregivers, Jack and Betty Seay of Bloomfield; her cousins, Jerry (Jo Nell) Seay of Piqua, Ohio, Kathryn Sallee of Lexington; and many other cousins and friends.
The funeral is noon Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at Barlow Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Summers officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. – noon Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may go to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) building fund.
