Obituary: Mary Carmelita DeMar Price, 78, New Haven
Mary Carmelita DeMar Price, 78, of New Haven, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born April 9, 1940, in New Haven to the late, James William “Jim” and Mary Alice Mattingly DeMar. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Henry Louis Price; her parents; and one daughter, Pamela Faye Luvisi.
She is survived by seven daughters, Cheryrel (Jimmy) Porter of Cox’s Creek, Tina Rogers (Mike Luna) and Paula (Matt) Crowe, both of Bardstown, Kim (Eric) Whobrey of Boston, Angie (Jim Pat) Durbin and Missy (Ronnie) Browning, both of New Haven, and Becky (Tommy) Lafollette of Lyons Station; one brother Buddy (Rita) DeMar of Louisville; four sisters, Gertie Vernon and Cecilia Weyrauch, both of Louisville, and Shirley Dewitt and Mary Ann Rust, both of New Haven; 23 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel with Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating. Burial is in the Riverview Church Cemetery in New Haven.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, and after 8:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main Street New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
