Obituary: James William ‘Bill’ Mudd, 84, Fredericktown

James William “Bill” Mudd, 84, of Fredericktown, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at Windsor Gardens. He was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Louisville. He was a retired advertising manager for the Kentucky Standard and the Harrodsburg Herald. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Kentucky Colonels. He sang with Holy Trinity and Harrodsburg choirs. He loved playing the trumpet, music, and enjoyed the outdoors with all his family, friends and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Mudd; parents, Borgia and Louise Mudd; and one brother, James Mudd.

He is survived by his four children, Jerome (Carol) Mudd of Boston, Michael Mudd and Charlie (Laura) Mudd both of Fredericktown, and Charlene (Eddie Smith) Mudd of Bardstown; one sister, Dorothy Ann “Dot” Mudd of Bardstown;11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating.

Memorial contributions may go to Masses.
