Obituary: Lana Carol Lovejoy, 66, Radcliff

Lana Carol Lovejoy, 66, of Radcliff, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a member of the Order Eastern Star. She was a former state youth director of the General Association of the Baptist Missionary Association of Kentucky, district president of the missionary department of the Mount Cavalry District Association. She was the first lady of Cavalry Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Pamela D. Hatcher; her parents, Gene and Ollie Bell Grundy; four brothers, John Russell Grundy, Thomas Eugene Grundy, Michael Edward Grundy and Richard Wayne Grundy.

She is survived by her husband, Lorenza Lovejoy Sr; six children, Anthony Tyrone (Linda) Graves, Deidre R. McCray, Lorenza Lovejoy, Jr, Reico D. Graves, Teresa (Milton) Lovejoy-Brown, and Sharece M. Hays; an adopted daughter, Yolanda Dudley; two sisters, Dorothy Elaine Grundy and Robin Marie (Rev. Jewel) Brock; an adopted sister, Melvina Walker; two brothers, Charles Stevenson Grundy and Roger David (Julie) Grundy; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Grundy, Patricia Grundy and Charlotte Grundy; 24 grandchildren, Lorenza Lovejoy III, Jakada Graves, Ariona Graves, Alatra Graves, Anthony Chearon Graves, Landon C. Graves, Maya A. Sharper, Lorenzo Hatcher, Danielle Hatcher, Devonte Lovejoy, Donte Lovejoy, Denae Lovejoy, Zoe Rawlings, Ashley Wilson, Ozariah Embree, Reinna Graves, Reico Graves Jr, Jeremiah Graves, Daivon Graves, Zyaire Graves, Mileisha Brown, Latajha Whitehead, Shadeja Brown, and Alexandria Lovejoy; six great-grandchildren; and one godson, Jarell “Pooder” Priester Jr.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 315 North Second St., Bardstown, with the Rev. Michael M. Smith officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at the Nelson-Edelen- Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff and 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Bardstown.

The Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radlciff is in charge of arrangements.
