Obituary: Paul Irvin Cox, 88, Lebanon

Paul Irvin Cox, 88, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at the Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. He was born on Nov. 23, 1929, in Casey County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bill Cox and Bessie Hatfield Cox; one sister, Irene Boots; and one brother, Charles Cox.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Sarah Riley Cox of Lebanon; two daughters, Pat (Robert) Miller of Lebanon, and Mary “Sweetie” (Chris) Drury of Bardstown; two sons, Rick (Phyllis) Cox and John (Terri) Cox, both of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at the Bosley Funeral Home with the Rev. David Butler officiating. Burial is in the Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Woodlawn Baptist Church.
