Police charge Bardstown man with role in the November WesBanco robbery

Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 — A Bardstown man has been charged in connection with the Nov. 16, 2018, robbery of the WestBanco branch bank at 315 North Third St.
According to a Bardstown Police press release, after receiving a tip, city police detectives were able to identify people with knowledge of the robbery suspect and recovered evidence linked to the robbery.
Kevin Lee Mahana, 50, of Bardstown, has been charged with second-degree robbery. Mahana was already incarcerated in the Hardin County Jail on unrelated charges at the time he was charged in the robbery.
According to jail records, Mahana has been in the Hardin County Jail since Dec. 13, 2018.
