Obituary: Betty Jean McDaniel Culver, 79, Culvertown

Betty Jean McDaniel Culver, 79, of Culvertown, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at Signature Healthcare at Sunrise Manor in Hodgenville. She was the retired owner and operator of Howie’s Restaurant. She was a member of the American Legion Post 121, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she and her husband led the youth, the seniors, and helped with the bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Howard Culver.

She is survived by one daughter, Bridget Culver; two sons, Chris (Amie) Culver and Brian (Lisa) Culver; one sister, Mandy Pilkington; and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Culvertown with burial to follow in the St. Catherine Cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer vigil at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
