Obituary: Portia Ann Luckett Price, 70, Hodgenville

Portia Ann Luckett Price, 70, of Hodgenville, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 24, 1948, in Lebanon to the late John B. and Rachael Pipes Luckett. She was retired as meat manager from Houchens Market in Hodgenville. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Rachael Pipes Luckett; one grandson, Chase Gribbins; and one brother-in-law, Larry Farris.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Willard Price of Hodgenville; two sons, Scott (Suzi) Gribbins of Nicholasville and Chris Gribbins of LaGrange; one sister, Darlene Farris of Lebanon; one brother, John (Linda) Luckett of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Raven (Dakota) Hawkins, Ann Claire Gribbins, Layne Gribbins, Morgan Gribbins, and Luke Gribbins; one great-grandchild, Eleanor Hawkins; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Bro. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial is in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in White City.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at the funeral home.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd. Hodgenville, is in charge of arrangements.
