Obituary: Mary Virginia ‘Ginny’ Livers, 78, Bardstown

Mary Virginia “Ginny” Livers, 78, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at her residence. She was born April 26, 1940, in Bardstown to the late Charles H. Sr. and Mary Waldean Miller Lydian. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Nazareth Sisters of Charity and Hospice of Nelson County. She enjoyed drinking coffee, thrift shopping, cooking, gardening and keeping up with everyone on Facebook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel R. (Danny) Livers Jr.; three sisters, Elizabeth (Libby) Guyton, Charlotte Maddox and Sarah “Jo” Marshall; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by one daughter, Richelle Livers of Bardstown; three sons, Michael D. Livers of Caldwell, Texas, Phillip W. (Judy) Livers of Temple, Texas, Christopher L. (Shanna) Livers Sr. of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Nancy Corrothers of Bowie, Md., Margaret Smith of Bardstown, and Geraldine (John Ed) Calbert of Louisville; one brother, Charles H. “Mike” (Cathy) Lydian of Bardstown; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Bardstown with her son Christopher L. Livers, Sr. officiating. Burial is in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at the church.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
