City of Bardstown leaf pick-up to continue through Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019

Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 — Due to the unusually wet leaf season, the City of Bardstown is extending leaf pickup until January 31, 2019.

To participate in leaf pickup, rake leaves into a pile on the grass between the sidewalk and the street. Never rake leaves into the street, gutter, or storm drains – this can cause flooding. Small piles of leaves can be bagged and set out with weekly garbage if they are less than 40 pounds.

Please be aware that the leaf vacuum cannot suck wet/frozen leaves, as they clog the equipment. Also, please remove all sticks/limbs from leaf piles for pickup.
