Obituary: David M. ‘Bubba’ Stevens Sr., 73, Taylorsville

David M. “Bubba” Stevens Sr., 73, of Taylorsville, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at his residence. He was born Aug. 21, 1945, in Taylorsville to the late James Lee and Alma Mobley Stevens. He was the owner of Stevens & Son’s Tractor Sales and was a member of the KTPA Truck Puller’s Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ada May Lee Stevens; and an infant brother, Daniel Stevens.

He is survived by two sons, David M. (Tammy) Stevens Jr. and Brian (Cheryl) Stevens, both of Taylorsville; one sister, Sandy (Larry) Hickman of Louisville; one brother, Jimmy Stevens of Taylorsville; five grandchildren, Evan (Taylor) McKinney, Jacob Stevens, Courtney (Dustin) Bentley, Caitlyn Stevens and Chelsea Stevens; and two great-grandchildren, Laiken McKinney and Parker McKinney.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville with Bro. Eric Gilbert officiating. Burial is in Highland Memory Gardens.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
