Obituary: Patricia Gayle McLerran Underwood, 73, Hodgenville
Patricia Gayle McLerran Underwood, 73, of Hodgenville, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Hardin Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 3, 1945, in Celina, Tenn. to the late Emma Strong McLerran and her father, Willie McLerran. She was a retired school teacher for New Haven Elementary and St. Catherine with 31 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Strong McLerran.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roy “Odell” Underwood of Hodgenville; two daughters, Shonda McDowell of Hodgenville and Nena Milby (Caleb Foster) of Hodgenville; two sisters, Ruth (Nile) Riddle of Hodgenville and Nina ( Dennis) Smith of Celina Tenn.; one brother, James (Janice) McLerran of Celina, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Jackson and Gavin Milby and Dawson McDowell; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with Bro. Jason Dodson officiating. Burial is in the Corinth Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the funeral home.
The William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
