Obituary: Joseph Lee Parsons, 75, Bardstown
Joseph Lee Parsons, 75, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at his residence. He was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Bloomfield to the late Ruel and Sadie Hawthorne Parsons. He was retired from General Electric. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Head Parsons; and one sister, Linda Peach.
He is survived by one daughter, Amy Parsons of Bardstown; two sons, Bobby (Jewely) Parsons of Cox’s Creek and Steve (Jessica) Parsons of Bardstown, two sisters, Lillian Green and Carol (Billy Joe) Benham, both of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren; two aunts; and several nieces, nephews, cousins.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at the Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield with Bro Will Sipes officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
The family request that expression of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
