Obituary: Nannie Thompson, 88, Bardstown

Nannie Thompson, 88, of Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Landmark of Bardstown. She was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Bardstown. She was retired from the Old Stables Restaurant and was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Linton; her second husband, Joseph Thompson; two daughters, Patricia Bishop and Chrisandra Linton; one stepson, Will Ed Linton; her parents, William and Susie Phillips; three sisters, Mary Frances Phillips, Mary Louise Phillips and Beatrice Greene; two brothers, Billy Phillips and James Phillips; and two grandsons, Dwayne Phillips and DeAngelo Linton;

She is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth Mason, Amy Jenkins, Lois Linton, Betty Mason, and Doris Linton, all of Bardstown; one sister, Martha Phillips of Bardstown; two brothers, Bobby Phillips and William “BoBo” Phillips, both of Bardstown; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at St. Monica Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, and 9-10:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Barlow Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. Tuesday prayer service.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Monica Catholic Church.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
