Obituary: Francis Jefferson ‘Jeff’ Rogers, 72, New Haven
Francis Jefferson “Jeff” Rogers, 72, of New Haven, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at this home. He was retired from a career in advertising sales. He formerly served two terms as mayor of NEW Haven. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Jefferson Rogers Sr. and Alice Bush; and one sister, Phyllis Payne.
He is survived by two daughters, Laura Anne Jordan (Stan) and Angela Lynn Marshall (Kevin); two grandchildren, Savannah Lynn Jordan and John Carl Marshall; and two nieces, Alice McKee and Ollie May.
The funeral is noon Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with burial in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Jan. 11, 2019.
