Sen. Higdon to meet with constituents, seeks input via legislative survey
Dear Friends:
I want to express my appreciation to you for allowing me the privilege to serve as your state Senator. I will continue to work diligently to make sure your voice is heard in the Capitol.
On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, both houses of the General Assembly will begin a 30-day legislative session. My colleagues and I are addressing several important issues, such as school safety, job creation, education and pension reform.
Meanwhile, I will be hosting legislative coffees around our district. I want to give you opportunities to share your thoughts with me at my upcoming legislative coffees:
January 14: Meeting at the Liberty City Hall – 8 a.m. with Rep. Elliott
January 15: Meeting at the Spencer County Chamber of Commerce – 8 a.m. with Rep. Tipton
January 16: Meeting at the Nelson County Fiscal Court Room (Courthouse 2nd Floor) – 8 a.m. with Rep. McCoy
January 17: Center Square, Lebanon, KY – 8 a.m. with Rep. Reed
Additionally, the 17th Annual Josephine “Mama Jo” Nuckols Prayer Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Jan. 26, 2019, at Faith Fellowship Church, 3160 Bloomfield Road in Bardstown. This breakfast is a great way to kick off the New Year with members of our community, and I hope to see you all there.
As always, I want your input on the 2019 session. Please take a moment to fill out my legislative survey, which you can download and print by clicking here. Please complete the survey and return to me via mail or email to:
