Obituary: James Samuel ‘Sam’ Browning Sr., 95, Lebanon
James Samuel “Sam” Browning Sr., 95, of Sam Browning Rd., Lebanon, died at 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hayden Browning; three daughters, Peggy Browning Burke and Annette (Lee) Robinson, both of Lebanon, and Dr. Rita Browning of Hohot, China; two sons, Sammy (Ellen) Browning Jr. of Clearwater, Fla. and Gary (Christy) Browning of Bowling 
Green; two brothers, Ben Browning of Bowling Green and Mike (Lib) Browning of Louisville; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at St. Charles Catholic Church in St. Mary with burial in the church cemetery with military honors to be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, and 7-9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield with a 7 p.m. Tuesday prayer service.
The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangments.
