Obituary: Jerry ‘Oscar’ Blandford, 69, Springfield
Jerry “Oscar” Blandford, 69, of Booker Road, Springfield, died at 10:23 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Smith Blandford; three daughters, Lori “Tim” Graves of Springfield, Sherri “Tim” Grant of Richmond and Alison Blandford of Springfield; one sister, Joann (Frank) Clements of Louisville; one brother, Roy Neil (Dorothy) Blandford of Springfield; and eight grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at St. Rose Catholic Church with cremation following services. A prayer service is 7 p.m.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, and 7-10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield, with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
