Natural gas leak closes East Stephen Foster Monday afternoon

Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 — East Stephen Foster Avenue was shut down for a couple of hours beginning just before noon Monday due to a gas leak in the area.

At 11:42, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 510 East Stephen Foster Ave., near the intersection of Guthrie Drive and East Stephen Foster, for a natural gas leak. The roadway was closed, and Bardstown Police and members of the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office routed traffic around the area until the leak was repaired that afternoon.
