Obituary: Leon Lee Lanham, 77, Bardstown

Leon Lee Lanham, 77, of Bardstown, died Wednesday morning at Signature Health Care Center in Bardstown. He was a native of Washington County. He was born March 30, 1941, to the late Richard and Katie Lou Wilkerson Lanham.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Holly Lanham and Deborah Jent; one son, Jason Lanham; two sisters, Betty Ruth Armstrong and Carrie Jane Lanham; four brothers, Joe Lanham, Charles Lanham, Tom Lanham and Larry Lanham; and one grandchild, Jacob Lee.

Survivors include two daughters, Leona Haynes (Charles) of Caneyville and Laura Lee Flynn (Ronnie) of Memphis; one sister, Helen Harper of Bardstown; two brothers, Carl Lanham of Bardstown and Hollie Lanham of New Albany, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

The memorial service is 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home in Springfield with the Rev. Danny Haynes officiating.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
