Obituary: Thomas Ray ‘Tommy’ Simpson, 72, Nazareth

Thomas Ray “Tommy” Simpson, 72, of Nazareth, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at Baptist Healthcare in Louisville. He was born Aug. 15, 1946, in Bardstown to the late Joseph Hall and Emma Rose O’Daniel Simpson. He was a farmer and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hahn Simpson; one daughter, Tammy (Robert Phillips) Simpson of Bardstown; four sons, Glenn Milburn of Bardstown, Teddy (Angie) Lewis of Mackville, Thomas Ray Simpson Jr., and Michael (Stephanie) Simpson, both of Bardstown; four sisters; two brothers; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Deacon Sam Filiatreau officiating.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
