Two adults, 1 juvenile injured in two-vehicle crash on US150 at Manton Road

Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 — Three Washington County residents — two adults and a 9-year-old boy — suffered severe injuries Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on US150, Springfield Road, near its intersection with Manton Road.

According to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, at about 1:10 p.m. Saturday, a 2011 Ford Edge operated by Michael J. Rozaieski, 46, of Valley Hill Road in Springfield, was traveling west on Springfield Road when it crossed the center line and struck an eastbound 2016 Ford Escape operated by Megan R. Yates, 32, of Walker Lane, Springfield.

Both vehicles suffered severe damage in the collision. Rozaieski, Yates and her juvenile passenger suffered serious injuries and were treated at the scene by Nelson County EMS. Rozaieski and Yates were taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for treatment; the juvenile was take to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville for treatment.

According to the sheriff’s office, alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the collision.

The Nelson County Fire Department and Nelson County EMS responded to the scene.
