Obituary: Anna Geneva Malone Adams, 90, Bardstown

Anna Geneva Malone Adams, 90, Bardstown, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019. She was born Oct. 3, 1928, in Marion County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Adams; her parents, Alfred Lee and Mary Abigail Benningfield Malone; four sisters, Margaret Elma Walker, Mary Agnita Cerneglia, Judy Hamilton, Dorothy Borders; and one brother, Harold Malone.

Survivors include five daughters, Donna Maria Adams of Louisville, Laura Ann Adams Dunlevy (Roger) of Sellersburg, Ramona Ann Adams Smith (David) of Birmingham, Ala., Marcia Jean Adams Whitehouse (Terry) of Alpharetta, Ga., and Mary Ellen Adams Lindberg (David) of Crestwood; three sons, John Barry Adams (Judy) of Lebanon, Paul Anthony Adams and Joseph Gerard Adams, both of Bardstown; three sisters, Sr. Mary Alfreda Malone of Maple Mount, Mary Aretha Reckley (Tom) of Tarzana, Calif., and Wanda Ruth D’Angela of Boston; two brothers, Joseph Clellan Malone (Debbie) and John Robert Malone (Rita Ann), both of Louisville; 3 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at the Basilica of Saint Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the St. Augustine Church Cemetery in Lebanon.

Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

The Bosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
