Obituary: Joseph Edward ‘Eddie’ Hutchins, 62, New Haven
Joseph Edward “Eddie” Hutchins, 62, of New Haven, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born March 8,1956, in Bardstown to the late James Richard and Flossie Williams Hutchins. He was a retired employee of Bartons 1792 Distillery and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Hutchins and a brother, Danny Hutchins.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Watson Hutchins; one daughter, Chasity (David) Kemper of LaGrange; one son, Hunter (Chasity) Hutchins of Boston; four sisters, Darlene (Daryl) Williams of Shepherdsville, Patsy (Charlie) Coulter of Bardstown, Carolyn (Frank) Peak of Hodgenville, and Donna (Danny) Childers of New Haven; four brothers, Terry (Karen) Hutchins, Harold (Marilyn) Hutchins, Michael (Lynn) Hutchins, all of New Haven, and Tony (Victor) Hutchins of Indiana; and two grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Harris officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, with a prayer service Thursday evening at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to Masses in his memory.
The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
