Sheriff’s office investigating early Saturday morning robbery, shooting

Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, 3 a.m. — The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is presently on the scene of what is believed to be a robbery or attempted robbery and a shooting at a home in the 2000 block of Boston Road.

At about 2 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office and Nelson County EMS were dispatched to the area for the robbery attempt and a victim with a gunshot wound.

Police had a description of the vehicle the assailant or assailants left in and are still searching the area.

EMS treated the victim at the scene before transporting the victim to Flaget Memorial Hospital.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating at the scene at this writing.
