Obituary: Robert Merlyn ‘Bob’ Keesy Jr., 59, New Haven

Robert Merlyn “Bob” Keesy Jr. 59, of New Haven, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at his residence in New Haven. He was born in Harrisburg, Penn. to the late, Robert Merlyn Sr. and Margaret “Marnie” Swank Keesy. He worked for Brown Forman Cooperage with 30 plus years of service, he was a loving father, and brother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Merlyn Sr. and Marnie Swank Keesy.

He is survived by one son, Robert M. (Chelsey) “Gus” Keesy Jr. III of New Hope; two brothers, Newt Keesy of New Haven, and Charlie (Marian) Keesy of Lexington; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main St., New Haven.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the chapel.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel in New Haven is in charge of arrangements.
