Obituary: Gloria Jean Brown Perkins, 58, New Haven

Gloria Jean Brown Perkins, 58, of New Haven, went to be with her heavenly Father on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville with her husband by her side. She was born Feb. 9, 1960, in Louisville to Eugene Matthew and Leona Bowman Brown. She was a janitor for the Bardstown City Schools. She was a loving wife, daughter and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Matthew Brown; and one sister, Linda Lee Anderson.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Norman C. Perkins of New Haven; her mother, Leona Bowman Livers of New Haven; one daughter, Lisa Gail Rhoden of New Haven; one son, Robert Wayne Perkins of Louisville; two sisters, Janet (Harold) Morgan of Shepherdsville and Kathy (Billy) Hutchins of Boston; two brothers, Richard (Edwina) Brown of Clarkson and Michael Brown of New Haven; two grandchildren, Cody Robert Perkins and Abby Perkins; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, with Bro. Tony Rheams officiating at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main St., New Haven. Burial is in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Hodgenville.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, and after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at the funeral home in New Haven.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
