Obituary: Joseph Edgar Newton Sr., 86, Radcliff
Joseph Edgar Newton, Sr., 86, of Radcliff, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at his residence. He was retired from the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. His memberships include St. Christopher Catholic Church in Radcliff; the VFW, and KY Amvets. He was also a well known car dealer in the area.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Newton; his parents, Sam and Bridget Newton; and two grandchildren, Sara Beth and Matthew.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Joyce E. Newton of Radcliff; three daughters, Michelle Witte (Steve) of Radcliff, and Becky Newton and Judy Hite, both of Bardstown; two sons, Joseph Newton Jr. and John Newton (Anita), both of Vine Grove; one sister, Agnes Maria Barrott of Louisville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The memorial service is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 at the funeral home.
A graveside service with military honors, is 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.

The Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove is in charge of arrangements.
