Obituary: Bobby Joe Burress, 81, formerly of Marion County

Bobby Joe Burress, 81, of Washington, Ind., died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Daviess Community Hospital in Indiana. He was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Marion County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Alice Mattingly Burress; his parents, George Lee Burress and Lottie Mae Scott Burress; two daughters, Lori Burress and Cynthia Burress; and one sister, Carol Burress.

Survivors include his son, George Lee Burress of Washington, Ind.; six sisters, Jane Edwards of Frankfort, Wanda Reed of Sylvester, Doris Blandford, Betty Reynolds, and Connie Walls all of Lebanon, and Dianne Rupley of Bardstown; and one brother, Carl David Burress of Greenwood, Ind.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon officiated by Dr. Chris Howlett. Burial is in the St. Charles Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the funeral home.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
