Early Friday morning rain has frozen, turning local roadways hazardous

Friday, Feb. 1, 2019 — The rain earlier this morning has turned to an icy glaze over much of Nelson County, resulting in roadways that look clear but can be slick and hazardous.

By 9:15 a.m., officers with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office and the Bardstown Police Department were responding to multiple non-injury fender benders all over the county, including the Bluegrass Parkway.

If traveling this morning, plan on observing for icy conditions on local roadways.
