Obituary: Steven Dale Roeder, 55, Cox’s Creek

Steven Dale Roeder, 55, of Cox’s Creek, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. He was born on Aug. 6, 1963, in Salina, Kan., to the late William Irwin Roeder and Deanna Elizabeth (Weyer) Meyer. He loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and being “Poppy” to his “Lil Buddy”, Elijah.

Among those that preceded him in death are his father and mother-in-law, Clifford and Barbara Wilson; and one brother-in-law, Larry Wilson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 36 years, Sheryl “Bubbas” (Wilson) Roeder; one daughter, Brittney Renee’ “Britter” Hollingshead (Evan); one son, Bradley Steven Roeder; one sister, Tammy; three brothers, Skip Roeder, Chuck Roeder and Darryl Roeder; one grandson, Elijah Cole Hollingshead; and a host of extended family and friends.

The memorial service is 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.).

Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
