Obituary: Evelyn Jeanette Washburn, 89, Bloomfield

Evelyn Jeanette Washburn, 89, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at Sansbury Care Center in Springfield. She was born March 18, 1929, in Bloomfield to the late Joseph Thomas and Madge Morrow Cecil. She was a homemaker, farmer and was a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Washburn; and two brothers, J.W. Cecil and Robert Cecil.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Billy) Yantis of Nazareth and Vickie (Craig) Evans of Cox’s Creek; one son, Larry (Sheila) Washburn of Bardstown; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial is in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
