Francis Maurice Smith, 84, of West High St. in Springfield, died at 7:30 pm Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mudd Smith of Springfield; five daughters, Sherry Hamilton, Angela (Thomas) Haydon, Susan (Philip) Haydon and Kaye Smith, all of Springfield, and Lou Ann (Mike) Smith of Louisville; one sister, Carolyn Warlop of Indianapolis; one brother, Don Smith of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown with burial in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, with a prayer service 7 p.m., and 7-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at the Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield.
The Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of arrangements.
