Award-winning author interviewed Friday on WBRT’s ‘Local Community Scene’

Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 — Local award-winning author Carrie Callahan will be the guest at 11 a.m. Friday on WBRT’s “Local Community Scene.”

A science-fiction story by Callahan was recently named a winner in an international writing contest, “Writers of the Future.” Her story will be published in the L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 35 that will be released in April.

Callahan’s entry will be published in the anthology, and she will be paired with one of the winners in a companion contest, “Illustrators of the Future,” who will provide illustration for her story in the soon-to-be published anthology.

Tune in Friday at 11 a.m. for Callahan’s interview with Nelson County Gazette editor Jim Brooks on WBRT AM 1320 / FM 97.1. The interview will also be broadcast live on BRTV, Bardstown Cable Channel 19, as posted later on the WBRT and Nelson County Gazette Facebook pages.
