Obituary: James ‘Jim Ed’ Edward Miller, 72, formerly of New Hope

James “Jim Ed” Edward Miller, 72, of Louisville, formerly of New Hope, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. He was born Oct. 6, 1946, to the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth L. Miller. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. He served the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Terry L. Miller: one daughter, Nicole Miller; one son, Chris Miller; four grandchildren, Wyatt Ritchie, Gabriel Ritchie, Lilliana Ritchie and Emily Miller; and a host of other dear family and friends.

The funeral is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019, in the chapel of the Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow.

Visitation is 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
