Obituary: Calvin Eugene Maddox, 86, Lebanon Junction

Calvin Eugene Maddox, 86, of Lebanon Junction, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at University Hospital in Louisville. He was a receiving clerk for Peyton’s Warehouse in Louisville and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Eugene Maddox; his parents, Charles J. and Ethel R. Foster Maddox; two sisters, Mina Lee Middleton and Bonnie Maddox; three brothers, Adrian Maddox, Coleman Maddox and Irvin Maddox; and a granddaughter, Stacy Slaven.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Pepper Maddox; one daughter, Anita Carol Nichols (Danny); two sisters, Judy Hardin and Darlene Maddox; three grandchildren, Scott Slaven, Stephanie Ponton (Dan) and Caselyn Nichols; and two great-grandsons, Connor Milam and Zachary Ponton.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with Pastor Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial is in the Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction has been entrusted with the arrangements.
