Obituary: Alice Jane Mudd, 96, formerly of Cox’s Creek

Alice Jane Mudd, 96, of Mount Washington, formerly of Cox’s Creek, returned to the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II where she served as a WAVE. She was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James A. and Myrtle Mudd; two sisters, Mary C. Phelps and Bonnie Ashbaugh; and four brothers, Robert Mudd, James Mudd, Ivan Mudd and Billy Ray Mudd.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She chose cremation with no services.

The McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington was in charge of arrangements.
