Barbara Catherine Bishop, 84, formerly of Bardstown

Barbara Catherine Bishop, 84, of Magnolia, formerly of Bardstown, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at her residence. She was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Nelson County to the late Albert and Mary Lambert Boblitt. She was a private duty nurse and a member of Little Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Bessie Curtsinger, Mandy Pulliam, Margaret Thomas and Josephine Ingram; and one brother, Albert “Buddy” Boblitt.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Walker of Magnolia and Ann Marie Crouch of Bardstown; one son, Ricky Joe Stump of Frankfort; one sister, Louise Thomas of Daytona, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Sister Mavis Bennett officiating. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contribution to the family for funeral expenses.

The Houghlin Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
