Obituary: Maryola Williams, 78, Bardstown

Maryola Williams, 78, of Bardstown, died Sunday, March 3, 2019, at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 30, 1940, in Loretto to the late William Harvey and Bertha Lee Sanders Faulkner. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Eugene “Gene” Williams.

She is survived by one daughter, Renee Hessler of Adolphus; three sons, Dennis (Angie) Williams of Bardstown, Joseph Williams of Radcliff, and Artemus Williams of Bowling Green; one sister, Martha Jean Basham of Louisville; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with the Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 9-10:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
