Obituary: Geri Rucker, 72, Lebanon

Geri Rucker, 72, of Lebanon, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Friendship Health and Rehab Center. She was born July 22, 1946, in Louisville. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, a longtime member of Marion County Homemakers, a previous member of the Red Hat Society, and most recently enjoyed volunteering at the Marion County Historic Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Coleman and Marie Mitchell Coleman.

Survivors include her husband, June Carroll Rucker of Lebanon; three daughters, Vicky (Jeff) Hatchel of Lebanon, Becky (Tim) Clark of Lebanon, and Kara (Todd) Hamilton of Bardstown; one son, Steve (Kelly) Rucker of Lebanon; one brother, Donald “Bucky” Coleman of Louisville; one aunt, Dora May Coleman of Floyd Knobbs, Ind.; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2019, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Bill Proctor officiating. Burial is in the Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the funeral home.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
