William Ament Beeler, Jr., 80, Elizabethtown

William Ament Beller, 80, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Elizabethtown.

He was a native of Bullitt County, a Marine veteran and a pharmacist since 1957. He was the proud owner of Beeler’s Drug Store in Lebanon Junction since 1964 and Allies G’s Farm and Racing Stables. He was a lifelong member of St. Benedict Parish and a Lion’s Club member. He served on the St. Benedict School Board for many years and was an avid supporter of the school.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Brian Beeler; his parents, William Ament Sr. and Thelma Nancye Daugherty; and his brother, Dennis Lee Beeler.

Survivors are his daughters, Anna Marie Beeler, Boston, KY, Ellen Livers (Michael), Lebanon Junction, Johanna Beeler (Julie Grenier), Owensboro, KY and Margaret Beeler, Lebanon Junction; sister, Thelma Ann Hundley (Mike), Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren, Sadie (Nick), Lucas, Leah, Grace, Kyle, Thomas, Greg, Claire, Hannah and Amelia; two great-grandchildren (and two on the way).

Funeral Mass of the Resurrection is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clare Catholic Church, Colesburg, KY, with Rev. Kenneth Kamber officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Sunday, noon-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Kappel Funeral Home, Lebanon Junction, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday.

Expressions of sympathy: St. Gregory School, Cox’s Creek or St. Benedict Church, Lebanon Junction.

Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of arrangements.
