Genealogical Roundtable to host presentation May 7 on deeds and wills

Thursday, April 18, 2019 — The Nelson County Genealogical Roundtable is sponsoring a free genealogy workshop featuring Nancy Roberson of the Louisville Genealogical Society on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the main branch of the Nelson County Public Library.

The NCGR meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. on May 7. Following the meeting, from 11 a.m. to noon, Roberson will present “Using Deeds and Wills to Build your “FAN Club” or Cluster Research.”

“FAN club” is an term coined by Elizabeth Shown Mills, CG, that stands for “Friends, Associates & Neighbors.” The program will discuss using wills and deeds for pre-1850 research.

Attend this free workshop and get help breaking down those brick walls in your research.
