Firefighters respond to HEC Manufacturing for spray booth fire

Tuesday, June 28, 2011, 12:15 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded about 11:30 Monday night to an active fire alarm at HEC Manufacturing, 222 W. John Rowan Blvd. Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the building and the sprinkler system activated. Firefighters determined there had bee a fire in a paint booth. The sprinkler system extinguished the fire. Firefighters stayed on scene for about an hour to help ventilate smoke from the building.

HEC Manufacturing custom builds steel returnable containers and does custom steel fabrication.
