Obituary: Barbara MacDonald, SCN, 95, Louisville

Barbara MacDonald, SCN, 95, of Louisville, died Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Nazareth Home. She was the former Sister Anne Clement and was born in Hyde Park, Mass. She was a professed Sister of Charity of Nazareth for 76 years.

She served in educational ministries, teaching primary grades at many schools, including St. Mary Academy, Paducah; St. Peter, Lexington; St. Anne, Readville, Mass.; St. Vincent de Paul, Newport News, Va.; Most Precious Blood, Hyde Park, Mass.; Sacred Heart, Quincy, Mass.; and Emily Firfield Public School, Wollaston, Mass.

She served her SCN Community as Community Service Coordinator from 2002-2009.

She is survived by her extended family and by her religious community.

Visitation and prayer service is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at the Nazareth Home Chapel.

The wake is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Church at Nazareth.

The Funeral Mass is 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Church at Nazareth. Burial is in the Nazareth Cemetery.
