Obituary: Anita Marie Robertson, SL, 87, Nerinx

Sister Anita Marie Robertson, SL, 87, of Nerinx, died Friday, May 17, 2019, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Denver, Colo. to the late Charles Joseph and Emilie Berthouldt Robertson. She entered religious life Oct. 13, 1950, and received her final vows Aug. 15, 1957. She graduated from Colorado State College in 1950 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Webster College in Saint Louis in 1961. Her assignments were in Cape Gerardeau, Mo.; El Paso, Texas; Bernalillo, New Mexico; St. Louis, Mo.; Denver, Colo., and Vallejo, Calif. She also taught in Kentucky at St. James in Elizabethtown in 1954, St. Benedict in Louisville in 1959 and St. Augustine in Lebanon in 1962. She retired to the Loretto Motherhouse in 2010.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at the Loretto Motherhouse Church, 515 Nerinx Road, Nerinx. Burial is in the Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.

A wake will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday at the Motherhouse.
