Obituary: Christopher Adam ‘Chris’ Metzger, 17, Lebanon

Christopher Adam “Chris” Metzger, 17, of Lebanon, formerly of New Haven, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Bardstown. He was born Sept. 25, 2001, in Louisville to Malissa Glover and Richard Metzger. He was a cook at Cedarwood’s Restaurant in Lebanon and a member of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Micki Metzger; and his maternal grandfather, Randall Glover.

He is survived by his mother, Malissa Glover Peace of Lebanon; his father, Rick Metzger of Louisville; one sister, Allison Weber of Hopkinsville; one brother, Justin Glover of Springfield; his maternal grandmother, Candy Bosley of New Haven; his paternal grandparents, Don and Revel Metzger of Elizabethtown; two aunts, Sheri Glover and Donna Harris, both of Louisville; two uncles, David (Tracey) Metzger and Rob Metzger, both of Louisville; and seven cousins, Sam, Carrie, Cynthia, Chelsea, Molli, Anna and Ryan.

The funeral is 7 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Lusk officiating. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2019, at the funeral home.

The family request that expressions take the form of contributions in Chris’s memory for funeral expenses.

The Houghlin Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
