Obituary: Joseph Louis Vittitow, 71, New Haven

Joseph Louis Vittitow, 71, of New Haven, died Thursday, June 6, 2019, on the family farm. He was born Jan. 10, 1948, in New Haven to the late, Floyd Clarence and Anna Viola Willett Vittitow. He loved to travel and he loved his dog Bear. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son; his parents, Floyd and Viola Vittitow; two sisters, Juanita and Oneida; and nine brothers, Ernest, Melvin, Albert, Jack, Junior, Bobby, Harold, Raymond and Pat.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Vittitow Lee of Louisville; three sisters, Louise (Ed) Nalley of Bardstown, Joann (Mike) Dalessandro of New Jersey, and Frankie Vittitow of Bardstown; one brother, Billy (Drema) Vittitow of Louisville; one granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019, in the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel with burial in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Bardstown.

Visitation is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the funeral home.
