State apiarist to speak at July 1 Washington Co. beekeepers assoc. meeting

Monday, June 24, 2019 — Dr. Tammy Potter, the state’s apiarist, will be the guest speaker at the Monday, July 1, 2019, monthly meeting of the Washington County Beekeepers Association.

Potter will explain varroa mite treatments, and review online tools available to beekeepers from the Honey Bee Health Coalitions.

Interested beekeepers and pollinator curious are invited. The evening begins with a pot luck dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by a short business meeting at 7 p.m. Dr. Potter’s presentation will follow the meeting.
