Campbellsville woman facing charges after being found in stolen pickup truck

Sunday, June 30, 2019 — A Campbellsville woman faces theft charges after the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen pickup truck early Sunday morning at a home on Woodside Drive.
Just before 1 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a home on Woodside Drive after the resident arrived home to find an suspicious vehicle — a red 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck — parked in the home’s driveway with a woman behind the wheel.
When officers ran the license plate on the truck, they found it had been reported as stolen from the Campbellsville area. Officers also found the truck bed and cab were full of household items that were apparently removed from a storage unit.
The woman police found in the truck, 33-year-old Cherita Nicole Wright of Campbellsville, was arrested and faces charges of receiving stolen property under $10,000; possession of controlled substance, first-degree (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; and two counts of failure to appear from another county.
According to jail records, Wright was booked into the Nelson County Jail at 2:02 a.m. Sunday morning.
