City police investigation leads to suspects in BB gun shooting spree
STAFF REPORT
Friday, July 1, 2011, 12:30 a.m. — The Bardstown Police department’s investigation of a recent BB gun shooting spree has led officers to indentify three suspects — one adult and two juveniles — who have admitted their involvement in the crimes. The names were withheld pending completion of the investigation.
Officers determined that the CO2 BB guns the trio used were stolen from Walmart prior to the June 24, when the three were involved in a series of shooting incidents. According to police, the three suspects allegedly drove around shooting vehicle windows and business windows. Damage at one Bardstown business was estimated at $1,400. The BB guns used in the shooting incidents were recovered.
Police ask that anyone with information regarding these incidents contact them at (502) 348-6811.
